The House
Materials & Care
We work with four materials, chosen because they age honestly. Nothing here is designed to stay new.

Concrete
Fine-aggregate, steel-reinforced and pigmented through the body. Left unsealed where we want patina, sealed where we don't.
Care
Wipe with a soft damp cloth. Avoid acids and abrasives. Raise outdoor pieces on feet in frost.

Jacaranda
Reclaimed from felled Pretoria street trees, turned green and dried slowly so each vessel settles into its own form.
Care
Hand wash only, dry immediately, oil with food-safe wood oil every few months.

Blackened Steel
Welded and hand-patinated, then waxed. Frames are ground back so the joinery reads as a single line.
Care
Dust with a dry cloth. Re-wax annually. Keep away from persistent damp.

Leather
Full-grain, vegetable-tanned hides chosen for how they will look in twenty years, not twenty days.
Care
Condition twice yearly with a neutral cream. Keep out of direct sun.
