Amara

Amara is carved from Jacaranda felled in the streets and gardens of Pretoria — timber that would otherwise be lost. Turned green and dried slowly, each bowl moves a little as it settles, taking on a form that belongs only to itself. Grain, figure and the occasional dark seam are kept, never corrected.
